Virtual ERs doctors are U.S. board-certified in emergency medicine. Virtual ERs doctors average about 11 years of full time emergency medicine work. They are all highly qualified, dedicated and compassionate physicians that have been handpicked to join Virtual ERs staff.
You will receive a call from a fully functional licensed Emergency Room
called Bellaire ER, located in Houston, Texas. This is a fully staffed emergency
department that is also staffed by Virtual ERs staff.
Bellaire ER is our telemedicine hub. Bellaire ER has incorporated telemedicine into its emergency care practice because not everyone needs to be seen in an emergency room. Not everyone has to drive there, sit in a waiting room, fill out mounds of paperwork, lose half a day of work or school, pay a huge fee and be exposed to other sick individuals. Virtual ERs is the logical alternative approach that provides a more affordable, more convenient access to quality care.
Meet Virtual ERs Director, Mario Quintanilla, MD
Dr. Quintanilla gained a lot of telemedicine experience with Emtel, a telemedicine company connecting small rural emergency rooms to larger more resourced emergency centers in Houston. He later became the Chief Medical Information Officer for Christus Health as well as being the Director of Emergency and Primary Care services for Telecare International, a telemedicine company.
